This is a hidden gem in Modesto... This was not what I was expecting when I decided to grab breakfast. What a glorious find. The food was phenomenal and the service was excellent. The waiting list is long, but well worth it. I don't think you can find a better menu in town. French toast was beyond anything I've been tired. The drinks are delicious. Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu

I've been coming in often and have tried a wide variety of their plates and coffee's to give an update. The food is constantly delicious! We have never been disappointed by their meals. Our go to plates are the chilaquiles, French toast (crème brûlée is the best imo) and anything with birria (their pizza birria is literally a must try!). Their coffee's are really good and the mock-tails are great as well. The service has always been really good here! The employee's are so kind and helpful with the secret menu (that can be found on IG). This place does get BUSY on Fridays, Saturdays and even on Mondays. If you're coming in on those days, be prepared for a long wait. I highly recommend this place to all my friends and family. No one has ever been disappointed!

5 stars, 5 stars, 5 stars! It's very rare that I give a restaurant a 5 star rating. But El Bistro is a rare place to dine. I have zero negative things to say. Everything is positive, from the service to the food to the ambiance. Absolutely loved everything we ordered. I have been here several times now, and I would literally go every day if I could. The veggie omelet was excellent. My son got the Birria omelet that came with consome and this hot sauce dip. Heads up, order extra hot sauce dip every time from now on. It is a game changer. We shared the strawberry shortcake french toast, which had my saying "mmmm," with each bite. It was perfection. Everything from the strawberries, which were fresh and tasty to the whip cream, which I'm sure they make in-house. From top to bottom, it is simply delicious. We also ordered the Pizza Birria as an extra to try and then take the rest home to devour later. If you never got it before. Please do yourself a favor and get it and thank me later. You're welcome in advance. This is one of those places if everyone knew about it. It would be extremely hard to get a seat. I could see this place some day appearing on triple D. It's that good. Take my advice. Enjoy it asap while you can before the word gets out because and it will be harder to get a seat. This is a destination location. I would travel to go here. I am blessed to have it right down the street, though. Don't be jealous. Ok, you can be jealous, haha Oh yeah. They have a bakery, too. You should definitely check it out and take something home for later. Or if you don't have time to eat, just stop by and pick up a treat, haha.
